Not the PRs and not the foreign workers. So what are you going to do the next election? So its up to you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-349958244836911106.post-31795131146842301502010-03-07T07:31:11.164-08:002010-03-07T07:31:11.164-08:00With all due respect to the parties who are oppose...With all due respect to the parties who are opposed to Mr.Lee's actions (and with valid reasoning to do so), I can only look read at this article with awe and utter idolization.

Poster has said that he had "never in my life seen a politician call voters STUPID for not accepting his party’s policies", and neither have I. And that just shows one thing: the fact that PAP is still in power as of today just shows how much this man's hold on his country is.

An admirable feat.

From the moment one has taken a deeper understanding of Singapore's political and economic systems, one should already take it as a matter-of-fact that it is far from the "democracy" it claims itself to be. And we should be partly thankful for that. On the contrary, look at how much democracy actually benefits other countries' economies, when there is too much of it. Case studies: Philippines and the US.

But of course, as a matter of principle ("a nation of the people, by the people and for the people"), Singapore may be faulty in many sense. But my stand to this has always been simple: if you dont want him and the PAP(in exchange for your rights and welfare), then vote them out.

However, people has been crying foul over the courts, the papers, the forums and wherever else for the past 10 years or so, and yet the PAP is still there by a matter of major vote. No united opposition, no violent revolution, no nothing.

Singaporeans talk and complain so much, but when it comes to doing something "against the machine", you all become meek lambs. And that's because you're all scared knowing that everybody else is scared.

Its quite funny.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
