Man Had His First Sexual Intercourse with His Family Watching!

During your first intercourse, were there people around you? Well, this man had his WHOLE family member by his side when he make love for the first time with his newlywed wife! Yeap, you heard me right, all the family members were there!

A family living in Woodlands New Town, Singapore has this “special” traditions passed down through generation, where they would witness their male family members’ first sex! The uncle of this man posted a picture of the process online and it went viral! The picture depicts an unexpected scene: a male and female lie on the bed, in the middle of intercourse!

“WHILE MOST PEOPLE MAY CONSIDER IT ODD, FOR OUR FAMILY THERE IS NOTHING MORE PROUD THAN CELEBRATING A SON, BROTHER OR NEPHEW HAVING SEX FOR THE FIRST TIME,”

“WE SEE IT AS THE LAST STEP ON THE LONG JOURNEY TO ADULTHOOD, AND IT’S ALSO A SPECIAL CHANCE TO WITNESS THE MOMENT THAT A NEW LIFE IS FORMED.”

The uncle explained that his family also witness his first intercourse with his wife. He said he’s glad that his family were there to give him guidance. Same happens to this newlywed couple, the mother and sister were sitting at the edge of the bed, seems to be giving some advice and encouragement.

“I FELT LESS NERVOUS HAVING MY FAMILY THERE TO ACCOMPANY ME, AND ALSO GIVE ME GUIDANCE ON HOW TO PROCEED. AT FIRST I HAD TROUBLE ENTERING MY GIRLFRIEND, BUT MY MOTHER SUGGESTED I TAKE THINGS MORE SLOWLY AND RELAX, AND I WAS ABLE TO EVENTUALLY SLIP IT IN.”

“I SNAPPED THE PHOTO RIGHT AT THE MOMENT BEFORE HE CAME, AND IT WAS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL SCENE.”

This photo grabs a lot of attention from the public. They commented under the post, saying that this is disgusting, weird, abnormal. However, there are also a few optimistic people, who says its interesting.

“It’s quite disgusting that such a private act must be witnessed by the man’s who family,”

“Sex is something that should be behind closed doors, without your parents and siblings observing.”

“I think it’s actually quite charming that the family supports their children so much during a pivotal moment in their development. It can’t hurt to have some extra advice when things are hard.”

Singaporean social media has been captivated by an unusual story concerning a family living in Woodlands New Town. A photo was posted by a member of the family earlier this week, and it has since gone viral, receiving thousands of comments from members of the public. The image depicts a unexpected scene: a male and a female lie in bed, in the middle of intercourse, while members of their family watch on. The intimate moment was captured by the man’s uncle, who revealed it was a family tradition that has been passed down through generations.

“While most people may consider it odd, for our family there is nothing more proud than celebrating a son, brother or nephew having sex for the first time,” wrote the uncle, in a post accompanying the explicit photo. “We see it as the last step on the long journey to adulthood, and it’s also a special chance to witness the moment that a new life is formed.” The uncle explained that he’d also had his family present to witness his first intercourse. “I felt less nervous having my family there to accompany me, and also give me guidance on how to proceed. At first I had trouble entering my girlfriend, but my mother suggested I take things more slowly and relax, and I was able to eventually slip it in.” The photograph also captures the man’s mother and sister, who were sitting on the edge of the bed to provide tips and encouragement. “I snapped the photo right at the moment before he came, and it was truly a beautiful scene.”

Feedback on social media has been divided over the family’s unusual tradition, with some Singaporean netizens labelling it as unnatural and obscene. “It’s quite disgusting that such a private act must be witnessed by the man’s who family,” wrote one commenter. “Sex is something that should be behind closed doors, without your parents and siblings observing.” Meanwhile, some users did have more positive thoughts on the practice. “I think it’s actually quite charming that the family supports their children so much during a pivotal moment in their development. It can’t hurt to have some extra advice when things are hard.”

In other Singapore-related news, a local man on a holiday in Hong Kong has received a lifetime ban from a popular Lan Kwai Fong nightlife venue. According to reports by HK media outlets, the Singaporean man was caught engaging in intercourse on the dance floor.

David Ong and Wendy Lim Scandal

Who is the seducer?

Gorgeous?

I win....

Wendy's Job

Wendy's Family

Irresistible?

Scandal exposed by the Press

Tharman's response

David's Resignation

Election Speech at Jurong East Stadium

Letter by: Leong S Y

I saw the pictures circulating in the internet and realise that I know Wendy Lim and her husband. Ms Wendy Lim and her husband all actively supported MP David Ong in GE2015. Even if we forgive David Ong for the affair, we should not forgive him for wrecking a family.

MPs of both Workers’ Party (WP) and PAP (People’s Action Party) have had affairs in the past. WP’s Yaw Shin Leong allegedly had an affair with a married Chinese national who had assisted him with translation work, while Michael Palmer’s affair was with Ms Laura Ong, constituency director of Pasir Ris West Constituency Office. Both men had affairs with women who were single.

But David Ong had an affair with a married woman who is the mother of 3 children. He is a traitor who used his supporter’s trust to take advantage of his wife. I am not sure if the husband pleaded with David Ong to end his relationship with Wendy Lim and let his wife go, but it is not unbelievable that he did so before going to the media about the affair.

David Ong is a Christian and I am surprised that he can do this kind of despicable thing with a married woman with children. How can the PAP field such a heartless candidate?

David Ong is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. How are Singaporeans to trust any candidate the PAP fields in the future?

----------------------------------------------------------
Here are 9 quick things we found out about the affair.

1) The woman in question is Wendy Lim.

2) Lim is a Group Sales Manager at a logistics firm and Deputy Honorary Treasurer at the Singapore Logistics Association.

3) She is also a member of the Bukit Batok PAP Women’s Wing and grassroots volunteer.

4) According to her LinkedIn profile, she attended Singapore Polytechnic (1993 – 1995) and Christchurch Secondary School (1989 – 1992). That should make her 41 years old this year.

5) She is an ex-SQ (Singapore Airlines) stewardess.

6) The affair is believed to have gone on for 6 months.

7) It was her husband who complained about it.

8) Lim had uploaded on Facebook various photos of grassroots events she attended with Ong including a photo with him and a placard of his caricature on nomination day at Keming Primary School.

9) She is probably his biggest fan.
------------------------------------------------------

David Ong’s Grassroots Work Began in the Late 1990s.

Although David Ong was first elected an MP for Jurong GRC (Bukit Batok) in GE2011 and then for Bukit Batok SMC in GE2015, his grassroots work went back to the late 1990s. We’re talking about over a decade of time and effort dedicated to making other people’s lives better.

He was active as a grassroot leader in Kreta Ayer. He was then chairman of the Citizens Consultative Committee in Jalan Besar GRC’s Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng ward.

Did you know he was part of the team who organised the annual River Hongbao Festival? He continued to involve himself in this when he became MP.

We understand that he was also involved in the Lantern Festival programme.

Deputy Prime Minister Tharman, who used to work with Ong under the Jurong GRC, shared that Ong worked extremely hard for Bukit Batok.

“He’s a really hard-working MP. He spends four to five times a week in Bukit Batok – weekends, weekdays, nights.”

In the Bukit Batok ward, Ong introduced programmes to help needy families with groceries, provide job and healthcare support, and give a fresh start to individuals with repeated problems.

In Parliament, Ong had spoken up for the elderly in his speeches, ranging from issues on retirement age and Central Provident Fund (CPF) policy.

Residents Say He’s a Good MP.

The Straits Times also carried out interviews with the residents. Clerical worker Lim Soon Hiang, 59, said,

“I am not very concerned about his personal life. He is a very good MP and has helped my family a few times. I will still support him if he stays.”

Ong also helped another resident, Arul Raja, a manager at a heavy equipment manufacturing company, with his daughter’ school transport arrangement.

“She was sent to a school in Jurong and was carsick on the school bus every day. Mr Ong helped us (write a letter to appeal to a nearby school) and she was transferred to the school close to home after one month…

I have three other friends he has helped…”

Chinese evening daily, Wanbao, headlined this news today, and carried three full pages of reports and updates on the story. Here’s one part of it.

For the Chinese readers, the articles carried interviews with Bukit Batok residents and also grassroots volunteers who had worked with Ong before.

Most of the Bukit Batok residents that the media spoke to have very positive impression of Ong. Almost everyone talked about how friendly and helpful he was, and how often he could be seen visiting residents and the estates. Many said he was a very good and conscientious MP who did his best for the residents, and they were sad to see him go.

Latest update is that Wendy has passed away, if the obituary is to be believed....from breast cancer.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just read it from our local famous social-political website that WP MP Yaw Shin Leong is involved in a under table affair with his WP team mate Angela Oon and the latter is pregnant. :skeptical:

This is a little shocking to me because Yaw Shin Leong is 斯斯文文.  :skeptical:

Personally for me, I find the news a little disturbing because personally I believe in 100% faithful to my wife... and perhaps I have a bit more expectation for an elected MP. I am not sure how will the more religious citizen feel, especially the Catholics because I know some are against abortion, and here the rumour is that girl involved here is pregnant.

P.S: Dear board moderators, if my discussion is inappropriate, feel free to remove. Thanks!

Exclusive: Core member of opposition party alleged to be having extramarital affair
January 20th, 2012 | Author: Editorial

TR Emeritus (TRE) has received several tip-offs from reliable informants that a core member of a reputable opposition party is allegedly involved in an extramarital affair with a married woman who is also from the same party.

According to the informants, some of whom are from the Covenant Evangelical Free Church (CEFC), a certain Mr Yaw, core member of a prominent opposition party has been sleeping around with a married female member of the same party named Angela and has gotten her pregnant.

Mr Yaw and his wife reportedly sought counseling with Reverend Dr Chua Chung Kai of the CEFC after the affair came to light, in a bid to save their marriage which was on the rock. Both Mr Yaw and his wife worship at CEFC.

Reverend Chua refused comment when contacted but several members of the church whom TRE spoke to said that they were “very angry” that the church leaders were helping to cover up the affairs of Mr Yaw. Some added that “this is not the first time that he has done this (sleeping with other women)”.

An informant close to the opposition party said that the Central Executive Council (CEC) is aware of Mr Yaw’s actions but is undecided (at the time of this reporting) as to what action should be taken.

Apparently, the CEC is aware that Mr Yaw has been ‘poking around’ with several women in the past and has warned him on several occasions. Mr Yaw who then had quite a few women decided to ‘release’ the rest and ‘keep’ Angela.

In a reply to media queries from TRE, the Deputy Treasurer of the party Mr Png said: “We have to think carefully about our response”.

Update (21 Jan, 12:15am):

Another informant has told us that Angela is married to a “Mr Lee”. The informant told us that Angela’s husband is very upset and angry over the whole incident.

Editor’s note: Details and names have been intentionally left out in this initial article pending further response to TRE’s queries from the said opposition party’s CEC. A more detailed article will be released in due course upon further reply from the party’s CEC or when new updates on the matter are received.

Decision to publish this article was not made lightly. It was only after intensive research and verifications that the editorial team allowed it.

Michael Palmer-Laura Ong Scandal

Official Resignation Speech

Yup, that's her.

No hiding for her.

Her other man?

All in the same team? Gangbang team?

Just how and why did the Michael Palmer affair come to light? Was it because the woman involved, Laura Ong, was involved in a love triangle?

The Straits Times on Friday reported that the 33-year-old former grassroots director was in a "serious relationship" with a logistics manager, Andy Lim, for close to two years when she began dating Palmer.

Sources told the paper that Lim, who is in his early 30s, would have been one of the few people to have had access to the SMS and email exchanges between Ong and Palmer.

These exchanges exposing their intimate relationship had been sent to The New Paper by an anonymous source on Saturday -- the same day Palmer came forward and confessed to DPM Teo Chee Hean.

One SMS read, "Hello darling... I love you loads. More than I sometimes show... Sorry. Love love".

Another exchange read, “I hope you are having a good massage. I have some mangoes for you. I love you and miss you loads.”

Other email exchanges showed the pair met up regularly on Mondays and that Palmer had given gifts to Ong, a former constituency director with the People's Association.

Not much is known about Lim except that he is a Anglo-Chinese School and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) alumni. They reportedly met when he was a grassroots volunteer at Punggol South ward and as recently as two weeks ago posted Facebook photos, which have since been deleted, of a recent trip they made to Johor Bahru's Legoland, reported The Straits Times.

On Wednesday, Palmer appeared alongside Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean to announce his resignation as both Speaker and Member of Parliament. DPM Teo said the party first found out about the matter on Saturday and that Palmer offered to resign on the same evening.

Late on Wednesday, the PA also confirmed Ong had resigned from her post.

"Ms Laura Ong, constituency director of Pasir Ris West Constituency Office tendered her resignation on 10 Dec 12, citing family commitments,"  said the PA statement sent to the media.

When contacted by Yahoo! Singapore, several of Ong's colleagues at Pasir Ris Elias Community Club were not aware she had resigned. Two said she was currently on leave but expected her to be coming back to work.

Photos of Ong, who is married but separated from her husband of six years, are also spreading online after they appeared on a mystery blog that was set up on Wednesday. They showed Ong and her colleagues during a People's Association retreat in Beijing, China.

It was not immediately clear when they were taken but when contacted by Yahoo! Singapore, Pasir Ris-Punggol MP Teo Ser Luck, who was pictured in several of the photos, confirmed they were taken during a grassroots organisation overseas retreat.

Teo, who will take over Palmer's ward in the meantime, said he knew Ong from the time he used to be the MP/Adviser for Punggol South before the 2011 general elections. Ong was then the constituency director of Punggol South.

Local media reported that Palmer, accompanied by his wife of 15 years Diane, said his goodbyes to 30 grassroots volunteers at the PAP's Punggol East Branch Office on Wednesday evening.

SINGAPORE - "My friend got a super scandal about a politician having an affair. Got proof. You interested?"

TNP immediately tried to find out more about what seemed like an explosive story. For the next hour, there was silence.

Then a couple more messages arrived five minutes before noon from a source close to the woman linked to the scandal.

At noon, four e-mails with the header "Michael Palmer" were sent to TNP.

Attached to three of them were screengrabs of SMS and e-mail exchanges allegedly between the politician and the woman. Michael Palmer. Speaker of Parliament since last year. Young, dashing politician. This was a big story indeed.

The messages, which seemed to have been sent to the woman's smartphone, suggested an intimate relationship between the two, which included regular Monday meetings.

One message reads: "Hello darling... I love you loads. More than I sometimes show... Sorry. Love love."

Another message says: "But you can't judge our relationship by just what happens on Monday."

One e-mail shows a forwarded message: "Your booking at Fairmont Singapore." The last e-mail sent by the source contained a picture of a Dior handbag that Mr Palmer purportedly gave the woman.

Shortly after, the informant said in an SMS that the issue needed to be escalated. He declined to speak to TNP and would only communicate through SMS.

"You recall Yaw Shin Leong? We need good ministers," he wrote.

Mr Yaw, a former member of the Workers' Party, was the MP for Hougang before news of his alleged extramarital affairs caused his sacking earlier this year.

As TNP was trying to verify the information given by the source, somewhere else in Singapore that same day, Mr Palmer was coming clean to the People's Action Party (PAP).

He met Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and said that "he would resign his positions", the media was told in a press conference chaired by the DPM on Wednesday.

When Mr Palmer apologised "for what he had done", Mr Teo told him to look after his family and to do what he could "to make up for the hurt he had caused them".

First, Mr Palmer's personal Facebook account was deleted in the morning.

Then his Facebook page and Twitter accounts also disappeared. At 9.33am, the PAP invited the media to a press conference by DPM Teo at 1.15pm.

Reading from a written statement, he told the press he had resigned "to avoid further embarrassment to the PAP and to Parliament".

He declined to take personal questions on his affair and how it had affected his family.

In his letter to the PM, also dated on Wednesday, he tendered his resignation as MP and as a PAP member with immediate effect.

He said he took full responsibility for his "grave mistake".

"My conduct was improper and it was a serious error of judgment," he wrote.

PM Lee accepted the resignation "with great sadness" yesterday.

He said: "It is necessary that all PAP MPs and advisers to grassroots organisations uphold the highest standards of personal conduct... and that the party be seen to hold its MPs and advisers to these standards."

Mr Palmer also asked for his family to be spared the publicity.

"I humbly request that you be kind enough to respect my family's privacy during this difficult period," he said.

This appeal was repeated by both DPM Teo and PM Lee. DPM Teo told reporters that those involved "are suffering much hurt from this episode".

"They need time and space for the healing to take place. I hope Singaporeans give them this time and space to do so, and that in time, they will rebuild their lives," he said.

The PA identified the woman as Madam Laura Ong, constituency director of Pasir Ris West Constituency Office, in a press statement on Wednesday evening.

It said she had tendered her resignation on Monday, citing family commitments.

On Wednesday night, Mr Palmer and his wife met grassroots leaders and volunteers of the Punggol East ward.

In a Facebook post, DPM Teo, who was also there with Mr Teo Ser Luck, said Mr Palmer had apologised to the grassroots members.

"There were tears in many eyes as they wished Michael and his family well," he wrote.

Mr Palmer did not respond to TNP's requests on Wednesay to comment on the SMS and e-mail exchanges.

Coincidentally, an American novelist named Michael Palmer released his new book this week. Its title - Political Suicide.

SCDF chief's super sex scandal

The women involved are probably blaming the govt for this. There isn't enough "chief" to go round, the reason why all ended up banging the same chief. But the govt is unperturbed as they knew there would be more than enough foreign talents to go around in no time.

Ten counts of corruption and sex scandals.
That’s what former Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) chief Peter Lim Sin Pang is facing after being charged in court.
The 52-year-old is alleged to have shown favour to potential vendors in return for sexual gratification from women representing different companies.
The three women according to Channel NewsAsia are:
1) Pang Chor Mui, a general manager at Nimrod Engineering (married, in her 40s)
2) Lee Wei Hoon, a director at Singapore Radiation Centre (married, in her 40s)
3) Esther Goh, a business development director at NCS Private Limited (single, age unknown)
The sexual encounters happened between 2 May 2010 to 23 November 2011 when Lim was still chief of SCDF.
Esther Goh is apparently involved in seven sexual encounters with Lim.
Lim could end up in jail for five years and be slapped with a fine of $100,000 for each count of corruption, if found guilty.
However, according to Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao, the prosecutor has said that only three of the charges will be pursued if Lim pleads guilty.
The three charges are:
1) Receiving oral sex from Pang Chor Mui at a car park at Stadium Walk.
2) Accepting sexual gratification in return for favours from Lee Wei Hoon in Paris.
3) Receiving sexual gratification in exchange for favours from Esther Goh at Marina Bay Golf Course.
The remaining seven charges will be considered by the judge when the verdict is passed, reported the newspaper. It is uncertain whether Lim will plead guilty to the charges. His lawyer said he will consult his client before presenting his case.
Lim's next court hearing is on 5 July.
The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), arrested Lim in early January for allegations of 'serious personal misconduct'.
Prior to Lim’s arrest, the CPIB also arrested former Central Narcotics Bureau director Ng Boon Gay for similar reasons.
News of CPIB nabbing both men was first published by the Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao.
Here's the full list of details published by Lianhe Wanbao:

Pang Chor Mui
1) Alleged to have provided oral sex to Mr Lim at a car park at Stadium Walk in May 2010
Lee Wei Hoon
1) Alleged to have had intercourse and oral sex with Lim
2) Had intercourse apparently with Lim in a hotel in Paris sometime between 18-21 October 2011.
3) Allegedly performed oral sex on Lim on 23 November last year at Big Splash at East Coast Park.
Esther Goh Tok Mui
Allegedly provided sexual gratification for Lim at:
1) A car park at Marina Bay Golf Course sometime around 20 April 2011
2) An apartment in Tanjong Rhu in May 2011
3) A car park at Singapore Indoor Stadium on 19 May 2011

Oral Sex For CNB Chief Not Confirmed - Oral answer not possible

Things are getting hazy at the trials. How do we define "Oral" sex here. Unless any openings on a female body is considered "oral", which will leave no doubt as to the oral sex claim. But if it is restricted to only the mouth, then the next question is, if licking his finger considered oral sex as well? Then all those finger-licking KFC fans should be first to be convicted.

The prosecution may be right here on the oral sex charge. She claimed she didn't lick his dick, but nobody asked the man if he licked her pussy. Unless licking pussy is not considered oral sex, which I doubt so, the pros is right to charge for oral sex. And then again, if both of them used their mouths on each other's mouths, they are absolutely having oral sex. Got it!
The beautiful Cecilia Sue without her sunglasses on vs. the typical lapdog look of her ex-lover the former CNB chief. Licking your pet's dick is still considered oral sex, I think.

A fortune-teller friend of mine has got these advice for her. Change your surname from Sue to Soo or something else. This is a very inauspicious surname to have and it will do much damage to you and your future, Cecilia. Are you reading this?

With a name like Sue, you are bound to get sued or end up wasting time and money suing others. Also, in Chinese, the sound "Sue" means "to lose". Directly translated it means Cecilia Lose. You have everything to lose if you stick to this awful surname of yours.

You should also consider changing your English name. Cecilia, sound like 'si-si-liau' in hokkien, Translated it means "die-die-already". And if you add the "Lose" behind, you are as good as doomed.

Goh Keng Swee's Grandson Ken-Yi Sex Scandal

State-controlled media Channel News Asia carried a story yesterday about former PAP minister and co-founder Goh Keng Swee’s grandson – Goh Ken-Yi being embroiled in a scandalous affair with his former teacher for 20 years which had caused her husband to filed for divorce at a Family Court yesterday.

For some strange reasons, Mr Goh’s name was deleted from the same CNA article today with a different title – “After her twenty year affair, hubby now wants divorce”

According to court papers filed by the husband, the woman who is now 52 allegedly began the relationship in 1988 with Mr Goh Ken-Yi who is only 15 years old then. Mr Goh, 38, is now working as a banker and married with children.

The husband, a businessman in his 40s, said he found credit card statements in 1997, seven years into their marriage, showing shopping and dining expenses. He added that his wife later admitted to meeting her former student. He also discovered emails between his wife and her former student, which allegedly showed “much flirting and sexual innuendo being tossed back and forth between the two”.

The husband later told the court of an email correspondence of an alleged “unofficial school trip” that his wife and her former student made – when the latter was still schooling – where both slept in the same hotel room and “watched each other sleep”. It is not revealed if they had sexual intercourse with each other and if Mr Goh was below 16 years of age then, the legal age for consensual sex in Singapore.

Mr Goh Keng Swee who passed away last year was a co-founder of the PAP and a former Deputy Prime Minister. He was credited with his economic policies responsible Singapore’s impressive economic growth in the 1970s and 1980s.

In his later years, Mr Goh divorced his wife and married a younger woman, a move which was reportedly frowned upon by his puritanical colleague Lee Kuan Yew.

CNA’s last-minute move to censor itself is not surprising. Such scandals involving PAP ministers and their relatives are often censored by the PAP-controlled media to prevent the party’s ‘whiter than white’ and ‘holier than thou’ image from being tarnished.

After her 20-year affair, now hubby wants divorce
by Ng Jing Yng 04:47 AM Jun 15, 2011

SINGAPORE - She was a teacher in his secondary school and he was a 16-year-old student when the alleged affair began.

Two decades later, after teacher and student married separately and had their own families, the husband of the woman is now filing for divorce.

In a Family Court yesterday, the man accused his wife of "unreasonable behaviour" and of engaging in an "improper association" that has allegedly continued since 1988.

His court papers stated that his wife, now in her 50s and teaching in an all-girls school, has been carrying on an "inappropriate romantic and intimate relationship" with her former student, now 38.

The divorcing couple cannot be named, as it could lead to the identification of their two adolescent children.

But the claims and counterclaims of the couple were laid bare as the hearing began yesterday for a divorce that was filed in August 2009.

According to the court documents, the husband had met his wife when the latter was his private tutor.

The husband, a businessman in his 40s, said he found credit card statements in 1997, seven years into their marriage, showing shopping and dining expenses. He added that his wife later admitted to meeting her former student.

But she allegedly did not cease contact with her former student as promised, even after a year, which was when her husband hit her. She filed a police report.

The couple tried to save their marriage but in 2008, the husband discovered emails between his wife and her former student, which allegedly showed "much flirting and sexual innuendo being tossed back and forth between the two".

This, after the couple had not been having sex for 10 odd years due to the husband's impotence, caused by chronic health problems, according to court papers.

In her defence, the wife denied the claims, including the alleged affair. She said she had actively cared for her family and that her husband had constantly placed a tight rein on her.

Represented by lawyer Koh Tien Hua of Harry Elias Partnership, she counterclaimed that she was often scolded and beaten due to her husband's violent temper and accused him of having an affair, instead, with their former maid.

In subsequent papers filed with the court, she said she had a "purely platonic" relationship with her former student.

The husband, who is represented by lawyer Kevin Lim of Wee Swee Teoh & Co, is denying her claims and is rebutting that his probes were justified due to the ongoing alleged relationship between her and her former student. The man also denied any abuse and said his relationship with their former maid was "entirely platonic".

The court hearing started after about two hours of closed-door hearings, as the couple could not come to a financial agreement.

The husband later told the court of an email correspondence of an alleged "unofficial school trip" that his wife and her former student made - when the latter was still schooling - where both slept in the same hotel room and "watched each other sleep".

During cross-examination, the husband also said the alleged ongoing affair had resulted in his wife treating the family poorly.

The court has adjourned the matter to a later date, when witnesses including the wife's former student and the couple's children are expected to take the stand.

Wife had affair with ex-student, claims man

She denies this and tells divorce hearing that he physically abused her
By Kimberly Spykerman

A MAN who is divorcing his teacher wife has alleged that she had an improper relationship with a 16-year-old student back in 1988, and that this continued on and off until 2008, when both she and the student were married and had children.

She denies the allegation, and alleges instead that he was having an affair with the family's Filipino maid, and was physically and verbally abusive to her.

The divorce hearing began in the Family Court yesterday, and was adjourned to a later date to be fixed.

The woman, 54, is currently a teacher at a well-known girl's school, while her husband, 47, is the managing director of a company that deals in scientific equipment.

The court has ordered that the couple not be named, to protect the identities of their two sons, aged 20 and 17.

The husband is filing for divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour, citing his wife's 'improper associations' with the former student, who is now 38 and works in a bank.

Catholic Church Scandal?

Catholic Church has been covering up widespread embezzlement of tithes & donations for years in Singapore.....

Now, THAT caught your attention didn’t it. ; )

Before I get sued for defamation, let me say explicitly that my sentence above about the Catholic Church here is NOT true — there was no such news leaking out.

What I did hope to do, was to make a point: When it comes to financial crimes, people are MUCH more rational than when it comes to sexual crimes. http://www.todayonline.com/Print/Hotnews/EDC100424-0000048/Doubt,-dismay,-denial-and-disappointment

A Just Response is needed

Over the last few years, Singapore has been rocked by 2 major financial scandals in the charity sector. In the first, we saw the downfall of TT Durai and the transformation of NKF. In the second, we saw the downfall of Ming Yi the Monk and the transformation of Renci. Additionally, we saw the government introducing stricter laws and regulations to govern the charity sector – a move that many, including myself, applauded as long overdue.

What were the reactions of the public and the supporters when these scandals broke?

Did any donor say that people were just trying to attack and bring down kidney foundations? Did any donor say that anti-Buddhists were trying to bring down Buddhism in Singapore? Of course not! The suggestion sounds incredibly silly to even mention!

Everyone recognized the goodness of having kidney foundations. Everyone recognized the goodness of the Buddhist faith. Everyone recognized the goodness of hospitals, including Renci hospital.

But everyone also recognized that TT Durai and Ming Yi were human, had committed financial crimes, and had to be punished accordingly to fair laws, whether or not followers wanted to forgive them later.

A parallel can be drawn with the scandal that is rocking the Catholic Church now, and through this parallel with NKF and Renci, we can see how simple the solution actually is.

Many people recognize the concept and ideals of the Catholic Church are good. Many people also recognize the Catholic Church has made much positive contribution.

Yet everyone also recognizes that priests are human, and humans fail from time to time. The mistakes made by Catholic priests have been recognize eg. The corruption that led to Martin Luther’s Reformation and also during the Crusades.

For non-Catholics to attack Catholicism for the mistakes of these abusive priests, and priests who covered up the abuse, would be akin to attacking Buddhism for Ming Yi’s failings. For Catholics to perceive the charges and actions against these criminal priests as attacks against the Catholic Church, would be akin to Buddhists perceiving Ming Yi’s conviction as an attack against Buddhism.

When the NKF scandal broke, hundreds of donors immediately called to cancel their donations. Was it because they were against kidney foundations or charities? No! They simply did not want their money supporting corruption. In the same way, if Catholics stopped donating to Church from tomorrow, it won’t be an indication of disrespect to the Church, but simply not wanting to contribute to an administration who covers up abuse rather than seeks justice.

In actual fact, these priests — both the abusers, and those who covered up the crimes — are simply humans who have committed crimes within an organization and deserved to be punished according to the laws of the land, like any other abuser. Structural and systematic checks have to be put in place in institutions to ensure institutionalized abuse and cover ups never happen again.

I have an Irish friend. Here is his response to the article http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8060442.stm
‘Victims of child abuse at Catholic institutions in the Irish Republic have expressed anger that a damning report will not bring about prosecutions.’

He says “I actually started the get upset and cried a little this morning as I heard about the report, which was released yesterday, on this morning’s news. I’m going to buy a copy of the report and read it from cover to cover

I’m so angry that what I feel is that. If, after that report, 800 people who caused this abuse are being given protection of anonimity and immunity….then we should seek them out and give them our own justice….but these are old men and women (terms i use very loosely) are so old now…..that we would be abusers ourselves

One thing you have to appreciate to understand what happened is this. If a young person in Ireland during this time was discovered to be gay or overly interested in sexuality they were put into the priesthood ‘to cure them’. This on top of the sexual repression of the time and indeed the fact that a person who wants to bully-abuse people will seek out these kind of positions of responsibility…this is all astonishing

What makes me really really angry is that kids told priests in confession about this and were called liars! Kids told parents who told them they were liars…you don’t question the church! And because so many people supported the church, our government felt it couldn’t take on the church and instead let these kids be abused…tens of thosands of them”

I’ve rarely been this angry or upset in my life

indeed…..i know some of the people involved in prosecuting this case…..

it was estimated that there were something like 500 child rapists/priests in the Dublin area alone, and that throughout Ireland a conservative estimate that at least 150,000 children had been assaulted. I0,000 of these have been “paid off”, at a cost of $1.5 billion…..imagine how much it would cost if all were compensated…….

and this is just ireland………..”

I hope everyone does also realise that if the Church is made to compensate, where the compensation money comes from —- from the lay Catholic followers who have been tithing faithfully, and whose family members may have been victim to the abusers………

The lesson we must learn : Preventing similar abuse in institutions in Singapore

Seeing this scandal as an issue with the Catholic Church as opposed to criminals within the Catholic Church organisation also misses the point in another way. In fact this may be even more dangerous because it blinds us to the lesson we ought to learn.

Have we looked at the Catholic Church, asked how this could happen on such a wide scale for decades, and go unchecked? Have we asked if the same organisational weaknesses are present in our temples, our Buddhist, Taoist monasteries? Our military? Our boarding schools? Etc etc? If the same weaknesses are present, do we then ask if there really has been no abuse, or if we are simply doing what the Catholic Church has been doing for decades —- turning a blind eye? The moment we see it as a Catholic Church problem, we stop looking beyond there, and we miss opportunities to check the problem that may be also occurring in non-Catholic organisations.

I know that many people simply cannot buy the idea that Catholic Priests are such evil people, who need laws and checks and regulations to keep them from molesting kids. I think an excellent book written by Anna Salter provides great insight and explains the fallacy of this thinking very well. Anna Salter is a psychologist who interviewed many victims and perpetrators of sexual crimes. She wrote the excellent book ‘Predators: Pedophiles, Rapists, And Other Sex Offenders’ ( http://www.amazon.com/Predators-Pedophiles-Rapists-Other-Offenders/dp/0465071732 )

based on these interviews.

The main point made in this book:

People need to stop asking the question “How could good church people be abusers?!?!”
People need to start asking the question “What is the best platform for an abuser to make use of?”

The starting question cannot be “What are priests/monks like? Are they likely to commit such crimes?” because the answer is No. And that leads to self-denial / defensiveness.
The starting question always has to be, “What would be the best target/platform/opportunity for a criminal to make use of? Where is security the most lax?”

Then you realise that a swindler of money would be clamouring to start charities in countries where lax laws govern the finances of charities.

Then you start realising that child molesters are clamouring to be priests in systems that cover up their crimes. In schools that have no safeguard mechanism.

You know what’s the scary thing?

When you start asking those kinds of questions, you know that such abuse/crimes are taking place all over the world, in environments where we most trust our kids to be.

The USA, Ireland, Germany etc has done very well to acknowledge it happens, and take steps, even though i believe it is far from enough/ideal.

What scares me are the environments, all over the world, where people claim/believe that no/little abuse is taking place. Because it doesn’t mean no abuse takes place, it means nobody is even doing anything to look.

It’s happening all the world over, Asia, Europe, etc etc and i think Europe/US is already ahead in doing something about it. I think we need to learn from this experience. - Mathia Lee
