Unlike Genting's Resorts World at Sentosa, Marina Bay Sands doesn't keep all of us guessing. The date of opening is announced about an hour ago, well ahead of the opening date of 27 April 2010.
SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)–Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) Wednesday said it will open its Marina Bay Sands integrated resort, which includes a casino, April 27.
Marina Bay Sands Chief Executive Thomas Arasi said the group plans to open 963 hotel rooms, part of the shopping mall and convention center, restaurants and the casino at the resort in Singapore, subject to construction proceeding as scheduled and the necessary regulatory approvals being met.
The second phase of the integrated resort, which includes the opening of more retail outlets and the Sands SkyPark, is scheduled to open June 23.
